Anyone have a picture of the Skipper 350B? I came across a amp that says Skipper by Palomar with built in power supply. It is blue in color and has 2 of the 2879 pills. I assume it is the Palomar 350-B but cannot find any pictures on the internet to verify.

Hamer,

I had one of those amps. Not bad.

Here is a picture I found.
Cobra 350

Even though it says Cobra, obviously it is the same as the Palomar.

This dude makes good carbon copies of the originals which were good. Skipper/Cobra XL lines of 450 mobiles (4x454's or 2290's) are very close amps to the original Magnum's with the rap around heat sinks. They also come in 200 /250/350/450 and 650R 1x2290 into 4 x 2879s I'd take any one of these boxes over a Texas Star any day of the week. not putting down TS but these amps run real nice and cool like. (-: Some will say Skipper and others will say Cobra XL on them he has also put the Magnum by Palomar on some of the 450s. (those don't have the 450 marked on the front of them) .....These are all very decent amps.

I have one I bought on an online auction site about a year ago. The amp works very well. It is a nice clear amp IF you dont over drive it. It is called a HI Drive amp and will work with 10 watts input. Mine sounds cleaner with around 4-6 watts input.
I use mine almost everyday. The built-in power supply will power a "stock" 2950 - 2510 - Magnum 257 or EQ mobile radio.

73 for now and God Bless, John
