Police Device Used To Steal Your Cell Phone Data During Traffic Stop

HTML:
These tools can be very useful to law enforcement

Yeah, because cops aren't big enough tools already.

Traffic stop = Fishing trip.

Alright guys, enough is enough. There is a separate area for such discussions of the nature seen in the last several posts. So far no posts have been deleted but that could change anytime. Take a hint and drop the political BS and name calling and get on with the thread topic.

so should the gestopo law enforcement community be able to preform illegal search and siezure of personal info
of your phone at a traffic stop ?

well duh NO. - only if you enjoy the feeling of slavery
and arent able to make a judgement call for your self

glad we agree on something, you must have a hidden socialist streak in you(y):LOL:

i thought slavery was abolished, but the capitalist states of this world seem keen to reintroduce it, with their invasion of privacy laws, their stupid nanny state laws and their insistence everyone works for pennies except for them, and especially not when the public are paying their wages.

but to believe they are doing anything with this technology that they weren't doing before when they were intercepting mobile phones, landlines, internet and god knows how many other forms of communication is a tad naive.

Well if it is wireless they would use the argument about being able to recieve any signals broadcast into the air.....Never mind their are still States that forbid radar detectors and do not honor the above argument.

In California for a while GM had given police the ability to shut down vehicles with OnStar.....Later they removed that privileged since the officer's could do it with out going through OnStar and where not getting a warrant. I am sure it came down to people that buy GM vehicles complaining but I am also sure it will make a return if it has not already.

I value all my constitutionalism rights and liberties and Inever give up any of them if I can on principal alone!!

Interesting little toy for the police to be using.....From the way that I look at it ( and I could be wrong) is the coppers would need a warrent unless you hand them the phone if they ask for it as far as being pulled over.

If they really want to know who or where you were calling they wouldnt need your phone to do so,just contact the carrier, the carriers have a list of every call made and recieved

The only way that I can see they would be of any help to the cop out on teh street would be if they are in a state where talking on the cell phone while driving is not allowed and the person was pulled over for that charge and denying it at teh time of traffic stop.

But then again the cops would need a warrent to access the phone or would have to conatct teh carrier to get a called list from the person....

Alot of loopholes and alot of room for a court case if not used properly
