Default SuperStar DM-1000 vs. RFlimited EC2018

These two mics appear to be very similar, are they the same? Is the superstar any good? it is much cheaper.

They are both neat toys !! I have used & owned both. They both work well especially in a car or pick-up. If you are going to use in a BIGRIGGER I would suggest getting the 2018 Xtreme it has a Noise cancelling setting. The RF is a little clearer / cleaner signal but, both have a very good sounding echo. If it were me & money was not a factor , I would get the RF limited mics. If money was an option, I would get the Superstar. Both have really good flexible cords & the echo sounds good IMO !! And I might make some folks mad but, to me the echo in both sound as good as any echo board that I have heard. The major factor to determine how good it sounds is how the operator sets it ! If the operator is witty it can be tailored to do a GREAT job!
