You were absolutely right . I upgraded the alternator and the charging cables to 1/0 from the alternator to the battery and to the amp. Make sure you run the same size ground cable from the back of the alternator to the negative of the battery. Now all I have is one group size 29 upfront

Don't worry just make sure you drill the hole the proper size. Unless you are tall you will never notice it. If you want to fill the hole just buy one of those small shark fin antennas in you will be just fine.

I was wondering about the bottom load vs center/top on the roof top. I've been experimenting with a bottom load roof mount Wilson, 102+spring and a 7foot firestick on the roof of my 4Runner. It seem like the bottom load works better on the roof. Is this normal? And if so why?
