    Thanks for the reply, I should have said its for mobile use so the Kenwood is a no go. Also the Yaesu's for me don't lend themselves to being mounted how I'd like with either too small a screen or buttons on top of the unit. So picked up a 7000 today and will be getting the 2x 706 on eBay asap.

    I've got an icom 706mkII and just acquired a mkIIG, any thoughts on if I should keep the G or sell both to fund a 7000. I do use 70cm so if you have any other suggestions it needs to cover everything. Sent from my iThing using Tapatalk
