I have a amplifier that blew a bottom filter capacitor 450v 100uf both were put in a couple months ago i believe they were around 50.00 dollars for the both.have had no problem til now i had a used one that came out of it after powering it up again it blew also.checked the fuse it was a higher...

i bought a nice dwight d and after taking voltage off the switch i notice it had 15.3 volts i was pluged in to ac power if this voltage is high is there anyway to lower it .....also would like to lower the watts down to around 1 watt but was told this could not be done on this type of radio...

when receiving on channel 14 i have a high pitch tone coming in while someone is talking. this only happens on 14 .i have tried different mikes, checked swr ,soldering joints, grounds.this radio has never been worked on and still looks news.I could live with this high pitch tone but channel 14...

Looking for the voltage for the pins of the yd1022 audio chip...its seems to be different from my other working cobra 29 which has a different chip.

sorry pa was working before this happen but now no pa that was one reason i put a new audio chip in.all voltage on new chip is ok pin 4 of chip. has great affect also.have tried new diodes checked for bad traces etc but no luck in finding this problem.maybe its time to travel to a cb shop just...
