Over and Out – The Marquis Bombing Case

Saw a very close to home Forensic Files on Court TV (trutv) today called "Over and out" was about a 17 year old whom sold and bought cb radios on Internet Forums like these , most folks didn't know he was just a kid .....anyway , he sold a radio to a guy for 400.00 and it turned out it was a little piece of crap Cobra 19 or something like that (not what the guy thought he was getting) , he basically ripped the dude off big time. The guy wanted his money back , even the dudes wife got involved and this kid would not give the guys money back to him, the guy who got ripped off was a cross country truck driver, sad to say , he hunted the kid down and sent a pipe bomb to his house via UPS , his mother brought the box into the kids room when it arrived, he opened it up and it blew a major hole in his leg and it hit a major artery , he died and his mother was wounded in the process. I'd say I have met some crazy S.O.B.s over the years concerning cb radio operators , but this one takes the cake. Nobody deserves to die like that , but it surely helps to be a honest human being in this world and not a rip off artist. This kid ripped off the wrong person , although the person is now doing life in prison without parole. He gave up his wife and home and his freedom for some asshole rip off teenager. This guy had never been in any kind of trouble until this , I suppose every man has his breaking point. I can remember over the years folks hunting down others for deals that never went well , my God ! Whom in there right minds would want some thing like that to happen ? IM sure in this crazy world of people , folks have killed for less. It's just rip offs / liers and cheats are cruising for a brusing to begin with. IM surely not saying they deserve to die for there deeds , This is just one incident out of hundreds that did make the press. I would bet to say Ebay has had it's share of killings over being ripped off by others. If I were a betting man ,I would bet on that. You are very right Sonwatcher about saying .......I think people get a sense of false security when using the internet.

Yes , that's part of it but blowing the dude up wasn't right either. He must have been really pissed off and not thinking very well to give up his own life because of some idiot kid. I think there could have been a better way to go about it then the road he took in dealing with it. 400.00 bucks ain't worth my freedom , although it would surely be a force feeding of humble pie. Just goes to show you how freak'in crazy people can be over crap like this. It surely pays to be on the up and up with folks . Now in this case , Somebody thought they could rip somebody else off via the Internet and never see or hear from them again ,WRONG ! I look at it this way , especially concerning the Internet , I better get it right the first time , because I honestly wouldn't want to deal with a unhappy customer in the first place.(especially somebody I don't know in the first place) It's a pride thing with me anyway. It still don't mean that folks can be picky about things from time to time , if that's the case ? I'll fix it on the spot. For Christ sakes !! I don't want somebody blowing the Switch Kit up over a freak'in cb radio !

You really needed to see the forensic files eposode , "Over and out", the kid used cb/ham radio Forums to sell his stuff. The mother never knew what was going on , other then the kid had a cb radio hobby and hung out on the web,she was a single working parent.
