3.913.00 GROUP

I usually have a pretty high level of noise here on that band aswell 6-9 S units is common for me without runnining any filters.

At least you got filters Tony, the noise blanker on this old Kenwood TS-130S doesn't work worth a damn, and this unit has no filtering at all...(that I know of anyway)....the only thing I can do to pull some of the weaker noise level signals out is to play the IF shift a little, it helps at times, but it's not like having modern DSP filtering.
I have been on the band some nights when the noise level was very low, and it seemed like everyone's signal was extra strong, but then QRM becomes an issue.....

I need a modern transceiver.....

I've enjoyed listening to 3913 throughout the years. Many of the operators seem to be good guys. I hesitate to participate, though, due to the foul language that's often used -- and I don't mean foul language from the QRM'ers, either. A number of the "regulars" are often foul mouthed. Too bad...

I wish they would clean up their act.

I don't participate on that frequency because some OO might get my call sign mixed up with someone else's with all the noise and they I'll get a letter for something I've never said. I've heard some call signs down on 75 meters that were from beyond the grave.

Why not choose a living call that's as easy as any.

I was a regular on this group from 2000 til a few years ago. I moved to Tennessee in 2005. A few years later, I was accused of interfering with these people. I worked alot of OT and rotating shifts. I had little time for Ham Radio. They still accused me of doing it. I considered them my friends. I later found out they are not. I have new ham radio friends here in East Tennessee. I saw this post and HAD to say something. As far as I am concern. They are a bunch of cry baby jerks.

ouch!! This seems to be said about every group on the radio LOL!!! I guess we rest and hang out where we are most comfortable and feel welcome. I dont blame you for finding another group I guess you really had no other alternative that sucks Ive been there a few years now and I know like every other frequency or group there are people that maliciously cause havoc as it occasionally happens on 3.913.00 aswell as the rest of the band otherwise there a pretty funny laid back batch there.

I can understand why you wouldnt want to go there anymore if theres bad blood. Ive never really seen them attack anyone other than the guy that just keys the mic and yells "YEAH!!" Every once and awhile I just shake my head. Anyways thats great you found another group to get in with it does not take long its a pretty busy band and theres alot of groups and atleast 1 - 2 groups for everyone so nobodys ever left out.

Anyways the people that were on lastweek we can try again tomorrow Im on Central time so Im usually on around 5:00PM anyone want an afternoon contact just leave a message here.
