Uniden 2830/President Lincoln CH step problem

on rogerbird's site Rogerbird's Radio Modification Information Page he gives a mod to turn the channel buttons on the mike into 10khz shift buttons(off the knob) its not easy though as if i remember correctly you need a cmos chip to send an increment pulse every half second. best just get used to it or install a chipswitch for 60 dollars if you can find one. they are discontinued. they do the mod in software.

No Mod needed. Just move the cursor to the number you want to move. Adjust it, then move to the next digit. It will work with the last digit being 5, 0, or something else.
Chipswitches should be back in stock soon, Bill from Bill's2way has the blanks on order.

I get used Uniden 2830 from england and i find problem tat every time when i
push channel step putton up or down channel last digits are examp. 27.550, 27,560, 27,570 etc...how i can mod that do step like 27.555, 27.565, 27575 etc..

Negative...Even i but that cursor left or somewhere else and set freq. to .555,565,575 or something else and hit UP key is`s setting freq. to .550,560,570 again... or DOWN key .550,540,530
