Hi I have been working on radios for about two years now and I am not perfect but I get the job done. I have decided I would like to build a small amp under 400 watts. My question is how difficult would it be and I need some information on how to build it and where to get some parts. Also does any one know where I can buy a kit with all of the parts included.

There really aren't kits available for HF amps because it is not legal in the U.S. However, there are several threads on this forum that have some photo builds on building an amp, including some interesting tube builds. You can get most of the parts you need at RFParts.

Communications Concepts sells kits for amps,

Nice starting place for solid state HF.

If you are looking to build a tube amp, ARRL handbook is a great source for instructions, and schematics.

Have fun.

fatboy sells parts packs(kits) everything in there except pills(rf transisters) no instructions either and pills are cheaper at westgate labs . but rf parts are the only people who match beta gain in the U.S. good luck
