i got one that has low receive. it will pick up strong signals. what could i look at to check and fixthis problem. is there a common problem i could look at. thanks kd

Probably one of the first things to try is to do an alignment on the RX,it may just be due to age or maybe some wizard has gone in and twisted the wrong slug. The foregoing assumes you have tested the tubes,ie mixer, audio amp etc. Good luck Warlock35po

Alot of people put there fingers in them and started digging around and they would screw them up. Some of the old timers would say that the DAK was a radio that once you started playing around inside them you had to pack them up and ship them back to the manufacture or a certfied tech that knew the radio well to have it realigned

I had one and it had no recieve and I called allover the place looking on the internet and word of mouth trying to find someone to fix that old boat anchor and nobody wanted to touch it not even the places known for repairing them years ago. So off it went and another forum member got it I dont even know if he got it straightend out.
