I finally found the "special tool" for HT's

If you saw my Alinco DJ-G7 mod video, you saw that I didn't have the proper tool for getting open the keyed nut that goes around the speaker/mic jack. I knew there was a tool for this, but never found it. Well, today I found it - for $8! Now I don't have to do it the hard way anymore

I made a set years ago using a Dremel tool and some cheap nut drivers. I wish I could find them. :headbang

Is there another site or place I can find this tool. I've tried repeatedly to order this and keep getting errors on the website. I've emailed the company with no reply yet. For some reason I get:

They are located in China and I ordered from them yesterday with no problems.

I suppose you could shop their main Chinese competitor and see if they carry the same item:

Thanks GLR, I got an email back from "George" and he told me my problem was that I need to put UT, instead of Utah. ...Really?!

It wasn't the only problem, but I was able to futs with the site and finally get it to go through.

So, I bought one of these and it finally arrived today. It doesn't work at all for any on my or my roommates radios. Yaesu VX-6 and 7, and Icom IC-T90A. None of the four sides will fit any of the nuts on these radios. I'm disappointed but it was only $8.
