MY DRAKE L4B I FINALLY GOT IT DONE!

I thought I would never see it finished! Looks like for now she is working.
I call it a GOOD JOB in about 10 years when she is still working.(y)
New Soft Start Module
New Soft Key Module
New Power Supply Upgrade board
All from Jeff W8CQ/HARBACH ELECTRONICS...

New AMPEREX 3-500ZG FIRE BOTTLES!

I built and installed all boards and new parts...cleaned RF DECK chassis
Rewired the power supply with Teflon or THHN wire (105 deg C.)
Installed new power cord...etc...etc...
A BUNCH of hours, over last couple months...

Very nice work on the Drake. Excellent choice on the Amperex 3-500ZG tubes also. They are by far the best 3-500Z series tubes ever made. Too bad they are no longer made. I'll bet it gives you many years of operation.
 
Very Nicel, you have a keeper there. i have a l4b. the soft key is a must. didnt take but one key to weld the contacts shut on my 746pro HI
