Sent a Lincoln and two 2510's to Doc to do his thing. I've heard he is one of the best on these radios. I'll let you know!

hey JP,did Doc just do his "famouns tune" and alignment?

or did he do some other things also? i.e. variable power, ext.

speaker jack? got some more details?

a friend of mine wants to send his in but isn't too sure what all he does and how much it cost. I thought this may give him an idea what $50 will get him anyway<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

if you prefer, you can PM me instead of posting.not so sure Doc would want that kind of info posted in the open forum?

thanks.Slim

Bill @ Bills2way does very good work on these as well. He is the owner of Chipswitch also. I have also heard great things about Rogerbird's work.

Slim,

Have your friend call Doc and discuss what he want's done to the radio. Tom is upfront with prices and is a real good guy! Know's his stuff too when it comes to Uniden/President radios! Your friend won't be sorry!

Doc's a great guy, but seems a wee bit spacey on the phone. Of course, I'm perfect<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> Doc IS a good guy and makes President radios talk.

I've also heard Rogerbird does great work and is really supposed to know those radios.

Highlander..

I am Rogerbird... and Dan's brother is Roger Valentine. (not the same Roger)

Dan and Roger Valentine engineered the Chipswitch, and Roger Valentine marketed it. They are both engineers.

I have been working on the 2510 since its release, and radios and electronics since 1974.

My website contains mods, enhancements and information for the HR series radio's. I have gathered, tested, improved, created, documented and diagrammed the mods and collaborated with some of the best radio techs to update and improve the information I have posted.

I never claim to have created ALL the mod info on my site, but I have spent many hours presenting and improving what is on my site. Much of this info was unavailable for years until I posted it (free of charge) on the web.

'nuff said' !

Roger
