I recently got an Astatic 10 DA head. When it didn't work, I took it apart and all the wiring has been disconnected. Does anyone know how the wiring is supposed to go in the 10 DA head?

I'm still sippin' my morining coffee, but later today I'll pull mine apart and post a couple pics of it for you...

10 DA

I tried to rewire the mic and the tiny copper wires coming from the mic element have been ruined. I guess I'll have to chuck it and try to find another element or another complete head. I know - lots-a-luck there, huh?

10 DA

I got an element from RBMicro.com. I had to bypass the coil that was embedded in the back of the 10DA head and wired the RBMicro element directly to the amplified base. I have asked for several operators opinions and the RBMicro element has the best quality modulation of all the mics I tested. These included: two traditional D104s, the stock mic and a Turner +3. Thank you for referring me to RBMicro. I am totally happy with the sound quality their element produces.

These guys have gotten great reviews and I also wanted to try this with my 10 DA head and also one of my other ASTATICS.
