need help texas star or fatboy looking for 400 to 500 watts out put radio is a uniden 78 been tuned and peaked 30 watts out put which amp would be the best

If you want to be LOUD and OBNOXOUS and splatter a few channels run the Fat Boy <------- not suggested

so get the Texas Star.. Just keep in mind CLEAN in results in CLEAN out...

No one that I know of likes OBNOXOUS ( unless your going to run the "super bowl" channel then you will need a LOT more then 500 watts)

You might consider having a variable dead key mod done to your radio. Then you could adjust the dead key from say 1-6 watts from the front or side of the radio. This way you could run several different amplifiers.

As it is right now what does the radio dead key?

A Texas Star 400 or 500 would be nice. A TnT 350 would also be exellent and give you 300-350 watts. If you really want to go big this would be outstanding below, it's a 1x4 amplifier.

You are among the clueless

200 watts pep seemed to talk as far as 500 watts in my comparison . don't underestimate the effectiveness of a pair of AB biased 2879's or 1446's , easily powered by most every vehicle or at home on a 30-35 + amp PS . plus if you every wanna try SSB you dont have to worry about the loss of audio quality that class C has .

yes yes

I have to agree with NoZNA about the 2950 also Booty Monster on the wattage out-put I was on ten meters from New Jersey USA to Dominican Rep. I could not count all the stations calling this guy. The TS350DV with the RCI 2950 put me next in line I have done this several times to different places 2X2879's I have an Imax2000 not big beam.
