For working into Europe and the rest of the world try 27.555 usb and all the frequencies round about it.
Secondary call channel is 26.285 usb and again the frequencies either side of it.
if you want a tougher test try ukfm 27.60125-2799125 (10kc ch spacing) with call ch on 27.78125.
easy to get on multimode radios by going to the nearest fcc/freeband ch then dropping kc shift -3.75kc.ch 33 hi band or band e on most 6 band multimodes with kc shift -3.75 kc is ukfm ch19.i'm sure you'd get a few surprised reactions if you pop up there,but many will have setups capable of returning your call as most are running export radios or hf sets and 5/8 wave antennas.
we also have ffc 40 ch legal here too,but on fm mode,as does most of europe.

Back when I was active on EC the call freq for 21 meters was 13970 KHz, has this changed???
what about other HF bands? 160-10m or even lower than 160m Where do people hang out that are considered to be 'FREEBAND'
