Anybody familiar with a magnum by palamor. It is a gray face amp with 4 switches not the the blue face with the 4 position dial. I am wondering if it is an ab amp and 2 or 4 pill and what type are they?

What Model is it?
The Magnum 6000 was a 4 x 2sc2879, with Active Bias, can you post a picture of the amp?

It is a 250. The Cobra amps are really nice I have had a xl 350 and wish I never sold it. I hope this Magmum one is just as good. That is why I bought it.

My guess without pulling the cover and looking would be 2 MRF 454`s
If you pull the cover and snap a pic we can look at the board and go from there....

That is what I figured it would have is 454's. I have not seen any info on this model. It is on its way to me and I will snap a picture when I get it. I could not resist buying because I heard the magnum line was pretty much like the Cobra's.

I have one of these too! This one is black faced with a four position switch, ssb, pre amp switches also.
I pulled the cover off to see what pills where in it, but the pills have a braided ground strap over them so I can't see what they are. It looks like it's well built This pic is terrible and I'm hoping someone can make enough of it to maybe have some info on it.
It's a Magnum 6000. It does have 40 amps max stamped on the back panel by the power wire. It does have four pills. It does not say Palamor on it anywhere though!

The Palomar Magnum 4500 is a 400W 4-pill amp operating in Class AB. Everyone I've talked to says it has a clean signal.

i have one of these amps and ,like it very much.It has a blue face and 4position dail low,med,high and max with pre amp that works great.I' ll try to send you pics.I could not send pic ,they were not to large i guess.If you will go to my profile by clicking on Beachboy you can go to my album and see it, front and insides.And by the way it's for sale.
