The LCD shows the channel number for a period of time then shuts off to preserve battery life

if you want to show the channel number for a longer period of time,press the button above the one marked as Push To Talk

Thanks for explaining that led light up. I thought it went off because it was shorted but thats the way it is. Very Good! Thanks Ron
