Is this a counterfeit Turner +3B

That is an original mic Ill have to look at one of mine in worst case scenario someone may have made a knew tag for it which Ive also done in the passed but I believe its original but again Ill check one of mine.

Looks reconditioned/restored to me. Probably just put on new lettering because the old print just wore off when cleaned. No one would bother to counterfeit this mic; it isn't cost effective . . .

I blew up the best pix he had in an image editor I have and it looks like an original screen print label to me. The rest of the mic looks like a legit Turner however I have two of them and both have silver stick-on labels with black lettering that say "TURNER +3B". Nothing is spelled out except the word "TURNER". I still think it is legit. Here is a link to another one like in your link.

Turner Desk Top Power Mic Turner Plus Three 3B | eBay

Different labels for different years I suspect. Likely the screen print is older than the stick-on labels.

After another look the label appears to be white lettering on a clear transparent label. It could be a newer unit rather than old. My microphones are about 33-34 years old.

Looks legit to me as well.

I alerted superhawkwss6 about this listing. He placed a $250 bid. Said he can easily screw, er, I mean sell it to someone for $325.

This seller has some pretty cool man stuff for sell as well. Some nice old blades and stuff.

Hmmm....I guess the turner factory made some say Turner +3B and some say Turner Plus 3B?

Probably. Times change and so do cost cutting tactics. My older mics have a silver metal strip, probably aluminum, printed in black ink and glued to the base. It appears the newer ones, like in the link above, have a cheaper label made from plastic self adhesive strip.

The TUNER+3 was grey while the TUNER+3B was black. That is the only difference IIRC.

I've seen several old Turner Desk Mic's that have had different looking lables on them...I just figured it maybe due to the different years they were built..

I also noticed on the one you listed, it's going to need a new battery connector...

Is cosmetics the only difference or is there a electronic difference?

The 3B is also not quite as common as the +3...at least around here.

Same electronics just a different color. Some of the real old microphones had only four wires inside while the newer ones had six I believe. It had to do with what was required to work with the older relay type PTT or the newer transistor type PTT switching. As far as sound and performance they were all the same. The Super Sidekick however had a different sound altogether. It tended t be a bit sharper.
