Hope that I have put this in the correct forum. I picked up this B&K 2040 recently and it all seems to power up and all modes operated. My question is where can I send it to and have it checked out and calibrated.

This is the combined User Manual and Service Manual.

Looks like any shop that has a Hp 8656B (or equiv), a decent dual trace O-scope, that manual, and a DVM should be able to do it w/o much difficulty.

Thanks for the info and manual. My problem is finding a decent shop and not a hack shop near me. Only have one cb shop nearby and have heard of bad stories from it. Have contacted B&K and was told they no longer service them as they were dscontinued back in 1978.

Well I have spent part of the day checking around with different TV & electronic repair places and haven't had any luck. Looks as if I might be on my on with trying to check the calibration.

From reading the service and operator manual it lists these items that are needed to calibrated the 2040.
RF Millivoltmeter (Boonton BD92)
Freq. counter 28mhz , 1 ppm
Oscilloscope 28mhz with 10x probe
