take a look at the relay, make sure all voltage is bleed off, I think if memory serves me correctly there are no bleeders in that amp so be careful.

I know about working with amps and high voltage. Ive been messing around with this stuff for 20 years.. Just looking for someone to give me a few hints.

CBTricks.com D&A Manufacturing RF Amplifiers Index

If you been working on them for 20 yrs then you know D&A switches the input from the driver stage to the final stage for hi low output.

If it does not have two stages functioning then it is either the hi/low switch. or the relay or associated circuitry. I,E. voltage for relay,

I think they are 110vdc relays, going from memory.

the above link is to CB tricks site, with 20 years experience I am sure the schezio will help you figure out your problem.

When any member asks for assistance on working on an amplifier it is considered a good practice to always include safety with working high voltages than can be lethal.

It does not matter how many years experience you have, it only takes one mistake and you may not have any more years of experience.

Good luck on your repair.

Zman was a bit oversensitive there,
so what a waste of a thread.
It was likely never fixed, and then sold on ebay!
:D
