Hi all I have a Phantom amp 10 tubes I know what the amp is but cant find one like this one. This one has the two meters on the frount the two big knobs at the side of the meters.and 4 switchs at the bottem like most i have seen. All the Phantom's that i have seen also have 3 knobs at the bottem on on the front. This one has the 3 small knobs on the side at the bottem. I went though all my old books and mags looked on the net and not found one like it. Has anyone seen one like this with the 3 small knobs on the side and not the front. Any help here i would be greatfull. Thanks.

I thought so to but not so this came this way .There are no extra holes on the front and the holes are factory. odd one i gess.

D&A were known for using a hodge-podge of parts in their amps. That's why some have two transformers and others have three. It's also probably why there were never any factory schematics or service manuals as the design and parts complement changed frequently. They built them out of whatever they could get a lot of on any given day.

Consider it part of the charm of a D&A

LOL i had one once that had knobs on the side and some weird looking lights installed under the front switches... It WAS a D&A phantom just an oddball creation from them.

I have a 12 tube D&A phantom made like that tuning knobs on front and on left side. I have not gotten this one going yet has voltage on tube top when keyed but no power out just have not had time to work on it lately do to other projects. I like the way amp is made because cover is two piece and slips off at top like a maverick 250 which makes working on it easier. I believe that this is a earlier design of their amps and they went to one piece cover later for manufacturing cost and easier assembly.

I used to run one of the 10 tube amps myself, and the one I had, had the 250 stage in it also....and this one was gray in color too...

Id like to see a pic of it myself...

I have one, two metes, 10 tubes, dual stage, key-up tube. Started to do the el509 conversion, then got a KLV1000. Never finished the conversion, lol.
