Socialism: An ever increasing reality and threat

You will never get there; as the banks will create market turmoil, devaluation of the stocks will follow, and the banks will then march in and buy them at a very low price. This is the history of banking in EU and the US. The banks first try at this destroyed England's economy, and they have used this ploy ever since. Learned enough about the nature of man yet? Those who do not profit from learning from their own mistakes are destined to be devastated by repeating them.

Between the bank and RC church, the US has been fighting this battle for years against these influences in order to keep its identity as a free people ever on guard to protect these very freedoms and principles.

Pres John Kennedy was assassinated because he wanted to get rid of the Federal Reserve. He implemented the change back and shortly thereafter was murdered. It wasn't the CIA or the Mob; but those who wished the banking system to remain intact as it was before the change.

Do you think that because the Netherlands is a more peaceful nation than others is a direct result of its government economics and policies? No; it is because it cannot do anything about the situation that it is in. No military or economic power of its own against the juggernauts that influence the World's economy. Only at a small scale; yes. The same EU union is often in the same grips of the banks and have many of the same problems that the West has for the very same or similar reasons. Between the addictions of oil and debt; it is a slippery slope.

Attack the largest threats to bank control and then everything can be owned by the banks through control of that debt. China is no different and neither is Russia because their own trade with the EU and US banks. At this time, they are still above it; but they too are eroding. It is not a question of if; but when.

You believe that 30% tax will solve our problems - when the IRS itself is a manifestation of the same banks? No way; it would all just be so much more money/power flushed down the same rat hole. Akin to the attempt to shovel so many fleas across a barnyard; none of them will ever get there.

The largest banks here are state owned or were back under government supervision after the bail out, and run by the government.

Why we have peace? simple because we were one of the first initiators of NATO and the forming of the EU.

Before the recent economic crisis we were actually paying off our debt....
Declaring the current situation only on the banks is skipping the bought for politicians that did away with the Glass Staegal act and made sure the banks could grow in the monsters they became and propagate bad financial products.

We chose these politicians..., so just have a look who is still harping for the banks WallStreet and corporations, and Oil and energy...

From the Netherlands, where we have a social democratic society, i can assure you we are still free.
I own guns, make a decent income, pay my taxes, can be sure that if i get unemployed or ill or go into a hospital i won't go broke.
I can travel whereever i want to, do whatever i want, and enjoy the benefits of our society the 3rd largest investor in the USA with 17 million peeps, less as 1/20th of your country.
Most people here are religious, and don't feel we are not free in any way or form.

Having our system you need to go deeper in it, as just following the Fox news standard bull they pipe for their masters.
As Christians we will not leave anyone behind, they don;t need to beg or hold their hands out, they get their income from the social security we all pay into, including them when they worked.
My healthcare insurance is 105 euro a month, or 140 dollars a month for that i will never see a bill whatever healthcare i might need, no co pay, nor additional costs.
Our healthcare system provides healthcare for all for 1/2 the USA price and just as good.
And you cannot be refused for a pre existing condition.
All through private insurers that get closely watched by the government that they provide the care they are obliged to and for the lowest premiums.

Whatever bibleverses you (ab)use our system comes the closest to what the Bible ordered, we leave nobody behind.
Before just shouting some oneliners you might want to inform yourself about what you protest against, it is quite clear you don't know a lot exept as some Fox drivel.

Nothing personal, just a simple observation from the other side of the pond.

This is the system we as people chose for, and love to have.
Kids schooling is free of charge, we have 5 weeks paid through hollidays a year with one month extra salary as holliday money pay, maternity leave paid through, etc.
The lowest number of teen births in the world, the happiest children in the world, and about the highest productivety of working people in the world where the average working week is 36 hours a week.
One job pays all bills and a family can live on that comfortably.
Though in most families both parents work through subsidized childcare where people can have their kids looked after while they work.

You make some valid points, but the Netherlands is not the US, and we have a different set of problems which are more complex that yours. We are a much more diverse nation with much more diverse problems.

Blind faith is totalitarian. Jumping to the conclusion that “US is going Socialist” is a catchy headline, but the supporting evidence is not there. The health care reform: “Obama-care” was assembled by so many players (lobbyists) with so many compromises that, despite the well-intended finality of protecting and providing healthcare to more citizens, it turns out with as many bumps as smooth lines (a camel is a horse put together by a committee). More than the issue of maintaining privacy by IRS employees/ IT systems, I am more concerned about the ‘’private medical file’’ database that may be created on each citizen (and later used by insurance companies, financial institutions and others to make eligibility determinations).

Like a forum member just posted, I’d like to present the VA health care system as a model. Whenever a diagnostic test or procedure is needed, it is performed without the interest of a private physician/ specialist seeking to pad their bottom line or to meet their staff’s pay roll. While I believe in free enterprise, I also believe that People’s Health should not be allowed to be just another item of “free enterprise”. Abuses from health care insurance companies, such as denials to perform certain diagnostic tests or procedures, are rampant and well-recognized across our Nation. Health insurance companies are rarely held accountable for a patient’s death that stemmed from their abuses. They only care for the bottom line, which (despite what you may believe) is not your health: It is the almighty dollar.

Justme, your almost a communist, your country is almost communist and freedom you have never known. Here I can think, say, write or publish any thought, opinion or criticism of anything, any person, leader, religion, race, creed, gender, etc. Wether I am wright or wrong, even if its bullshit, I can say it.

You dont have that, in your country you cant even criticize a the faery tails of Islam. Your country arrest people for publishing "Insulting" cartoons. Yes its true, draw a funny picture of the mohammed and go to jail. Criticize a violent bigoted stone age cult of political ideology, disguised as religion and go to jail.

And you claim you can have guns. Your guns are not "arms". Your heavily regulated and taxed hunting and sport implements are just that, not suited for defense of home and family or god forbid, freedom.

The Soviet Union had guns too, licensed hunters checked them out from government armory with 10 rounds of ammo at the beginning of season, and then returned them along with empty shell casings accounted for at the end of season.

Socialism is nothing more than a transition into communism, the difference being the absolute power resting in a body of legislature, or being in a supreme leader (dictator).
It either turns into communism, gets invaded, or gets bought out. It does not last.

In our republic, the absolute power is in rule of law, our constitution which limits the powers of government, and gives us, the people, our inalienable rights.
Our government cannot be changed simply by the everchanging whims of the masses,
the foundations of the republic lie in our constitution, it cannot be changed by popular majority, but by an outstanding majority of 3/4.
It is our constitution that limits the governments powers to pass laws, to take away our freedoms, to change things that would go against our bill of rights or go against the limits of power in the constitution.

We are far from perfect, as they have eroded the foundation of the republic, badly eroded, but it still stands. It still limits the power of our leaders, we still are not a socialist country. Only once the leaders, our body of legislature, gains absolute power of governance, then, and only then, will we become a socialist country.

Things do not always happen this way, often those promised socialism for supporting the revolution simply end up with communism, because they are basically one in the same in their ends.

btw:

Free healthcare is not free, they just force you to pay for it, and if you are not sickly, you end up in reality paying for someone elses.
In america, to practice medicine, to graduate our schools of medicine one must take the oath of Hippocrates, to treat those who cannot afford care. People are not turned away, they just get a hospital bill 3 times greater than an insured person would get, that is 3 times more than the cost insurance would pay. That alone leads quite a few to not pay. Most uninsured people do not pay, and they get a bad credit score.
Their dumbass fault for not getting insurance.
My company insurance is now being classified as an excise, a plan that cost them less than $50 a month, and it will now be taxed, I will be taxed.
The government has no place in our religions, and they have no place in our healthcare.
Please keep your socialism to yourselves, then tell me how much you love Sharia law once the socialism in your country falls apart.

@ Yeshua,
It is not on you or me to try to twist the verses of the Bible to fit your believe, they are quite clear in their meaning and support what i said.

@ Towerdog,
It is clear you have no clue about social democracy and Communism and the differences between them.
Freedom of press and religion are the same here, don't know where you got the fairy tale from about the arresting people for producing cartoons, that was Denmark who produced the cartoons.

You already tried to shout FIRE in the cinema? see how far your freedom of speech will carry you...;)

My guns? Desert Eagle .357 M S&W 686 .357M S&W 629 .44M Classic DX, US Carbine M1 .30, Walther GSP .22 LR etc. FYI we can own and shoot the .50 BMG as well, no restrictions in sort of ammo, nor restrictions in bullets in magazines....
I can assure you that you will not survive a 240 grain JHP with a full load from my .44 M revolver nor any reload of the other guns, bar the .22 LR.
My guns are at home here with 10.000 rounds of ammo and enough reloading material to make another batch of that size.

Since crime and deadly crime is about 1/10th of your country i never felt the need to go out armed with a gun, only while in Service i needed to.
But then i'm 7 feet tall and can defend myself quite well, not being paranoid about crime does help too...

Shows really how much you DON'T know about us, just repeating the lies of the standard rightwing groups and Fox again i see.

Our country is here for the last 2000 years, long before the USA was discovered, we even enabled your country to exist, re read the other posts for some history lessons.
We tried that Republic thingy you have for a few hundred years but went for the Kingdom and democratic society 200 years back, suiting us fine thank you.

Lets say we evolved in time, but then our history is a bit longer as you have over there, i'm sure your country will get there in the end over a long time growing up.

Since you don't grasp from the former posts we have exactly the same government and rights as citizens as you have you might want to try to read up on that.
Here the people rule through our representatives in the provinces ( your states) we have the House and Senate and a head as Minister - President like you have.
We can petition the Government to take up a new law if we feel like it, or get a law revoked if we don't like it, something you don't have.

Matter of fact is you are a democracy just as us, and socialist as well, who paid for the interstate highways, bridges infrastructure, your army the pensions? your social secutity etc etc.

Healthcare
Everyone will need healthcare in his life, our start before you are born with prenatal care and you never went to a dentist i presume? or never needed a doctor or medicine or a hospital?
So you rather have uninsured go to the E.R. without paying for it and have you pay the bill in the end? looks like socialism to me then... at least we pay our own bills through our insurance we pay in....
Must be why we can offer anyone healthcare for 1/2 the costs as the USA eh?

Your sharia remark shows how much you have been influenced by the lies of the rightwing nuts.Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh much?;) hint: try to think for yourself....
The Arabic culture already existed 1000 years before Christ, they invented lots of things we use daily like mathematics several acids etc
Or you have a personal thinking disorder, you might want to try to read up both sides of the story.
Timeline of science and engineering in the Islamic world - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Terrorism has no place in this world, being uninformed neither, the last bit is what you show.

As stated we have been a country long before the USA was discovered and made possible by us, and we will be there long after you are gone, we have 2000 years experience, you are just the new kid on the block and your skewered remarks just show that, you might want to try to grow out of the puberty you seem to be in.
Matter of fact is the USA is no longer no 1 in lots of things, most countries that come first are the European social democracies that come first in personal wellbeing, healthcare income, etc.

And Americans born today will have less opportunities and chances for greatness, in theory, than 15 other countries. Ironically, most of them are in Europe. Not ironically, only one, The Netherlands, is in the top 10 and uses the euro as its currency.USA 16 going down on the list.

You're seventh in literacy, 27th in math, 22nd in science, 49th in life expectancy, 178th in infant mortality, third in median household income, No. 4 in labor force, and No. 4 in exports.

We have more freedom as you have, we don't have the Patriot act, we don't asssasine our citizens, we don't do indefinate detention, we don't have arbitrary Justice, nor do we have warrantless searches, nor do we torture people, nor do we allow secret evidence in our Courts of Justice, nor do we have immunity fro judicial review, nor do we constantly monitor our citizens, nor do we have extraordinary rendition, so looking at that WE are the land of the FREE.

The EU has 515 million inhabitants and the USA 317, Our combined GDP is larger as the USA.
I know you must hate facts.
Have a nice day now you hear?

So what are the rules governing gun ownership in the Netherlands? Dutch gun laws are actually quite strict. Gun ownership is seen not as a right, but a privilege, with hunting and target shooting the only two legitimate reasons for owning a gun.

Self defence is not regarded as a valid argument for owning a gun, and only the police are allowed to carry a weapon.

Gun owner:

Aspiring sport shooters must join a gun club. Application for gun club membership involves a trial period, allowing the club to find out who they are dealing with, and a background check by the Justice ministry. A criminal record -particularly one involving violent incidents –would disqualify the applicant. Currently, there are about 42,000 gun owners registered with the Koninklijke Nederlandse Schutters Associatie (Royal Dutch Riflemen's Association). All gun clubs are registered with the KNSA, which maintains close contact with the Justice ministry.

After one year of membership - during which period the new member can practice with guns owned by the club -members can apply for a gun permit and, if granted, purchase their first gun. After the second year of membership, gun owners can buy more guns, to a maximum of five. Guns and ammunition kept at home must be stored in separate strongboxes. The police regularly make house-calls to check whether the guns registered in a person's name are actually in his possession and whether they are properly stored.

Permit revoked:

Members of shooting clubs are only allowed to own guns which are suitable for use in KNSA-approved shooting matches which, for instance, rules out short-barreled revolvers and all automatic weapons which are unsuited to competitive shooting. Also, gun owners can only legally transport their guns and/or ammunition either from their home to their gun club, to a licensed gunsmith, to the police station (for inspection) or to a shooting match they hold an invitation to. All of the above via the shortest possible route.

As gun ownership is regarded as a privilege, almost any violation of the gun laws will automatically lead to the shooter's gun permit being revoked. Involvement in a violent incident, or even driving a car under the influence of alcohol, will also result in the permit being revoked.

A real gun owners paradise you have there.

We have the rule of self defense by all means, even deadly force in and around our house to defend against attackers, thieves burglars etc.

I have my guns for sport shooting and i'm quite good at that actually.
Everyone that has a good reason to own guns can do so, be it for sport shooting, clay pigeon shooting Hunting or international sport shooting.
I travel through Europe with my international gun pasport and can participate in any country with my guns in competition shooting as i like.

We don;t have school shootings nor 30.000 gun deaths a year as well, many children, woman too.
Nor do we have the level of violent gun crime you have.
Still our citizens can own and fire weapons just like the M15 anything up to .50 BMG, as long it is semi-auto.
We have many disciplines and can own almost all weapons bar the saturday night specials as described.

Our military disciplines allow all military weapons like my old U.S. Carbine in .30 M1 with a 30 round magazine if i feel like it.
Or the civilian M16 rifle or any other big bore ( semi) auto rifle.

No i don't feel restricted here, i rather like it that not every idiot can go out and buy a gun without some protection for the normal citizens, and start popping off members of the public.

We don't have the gun culture here, there are 40K sportshooters and 40K hunters here owning 500.000 guns legally.
Out of 17 million citizens and we have 40K police officers for that as well, much less as in the USA because our crime is much lower.
Drug use here is 1/2 of the USA, we can use canabis and buy it free here as well, still our use is lower as the USA.

In my service time and since my father was a policeman, i got interested in shooting, which i still do after 38 years and will do till i die.

I do have the right to use the guns in selfdefense here in and around the house though and will do so if need be.
Looks a bit like the castle doctrine.

So the story is not all it seems to be.
No restrictions on sort nor amount on ammo too if i want to use armour piercing, incendiary, JHP, FMJ, Black Talon it is all allowed.

Most of us reload their own ammo, but there's plenty in all calibers to buy, no shortages either.

We shoot anything from old muzzleloaders to the most expensive and new weapons on the market handguns long guns you name it.
Mostly i order spare parts from the USA directly, cheaper as going to our local gunstore.
Ammo mostly European, Vihtavuori powder, CCI or Federal primers, bullets German made or USA made whatever is at offer cheap but good, lead bullets we throw ourselves for the revolvers or muzzle loaders, lots of lead and zinc in supply here and oven.
I shoot every week sometimes several times, add the competitions and i burn through a lot of ammo in a year.
The number of incidents here with legal gunowners is minimal, it is seldom a license is revoked.
Most country's here have the same laws and have more gunowners, the Dutch are just not so into that.
I'm more the exception as the rule.

Pinball shooting, action shooting, falling plate, etc.
All fun to do.
As with my drivers license i can drive anything on more as 2 wheels including 18 wheelers i see a gunpermit as a safeguard against nuts that just want to have guns to commit crimes.

Getting caught here with an illegal gun or ammo and you will find your butt in the slammer for a very long time.
And can be assured the police will keep an eye on you when you get out eventually...

Even from a natural standpoint,do we as a nation even realize that socialism is creeping in and do we want that or do we fight?
Do you realize that socialism takes away your right to choose how you live your life. Like hamsters in a cage.

Yeshua,
You don't want to argue but keep pushing the arguments as you see fit.?

As i wrote we have more freedom as you people over there and put up the proof.
You come up with the many time debunked rightwing religious drivel without proof. i live here and know what i see and my family i speak every week in the USA tells me what i need to know.
As does the independant news sources like BBC, our news and many more.

I always try to see every side of an argument even your's but it lacks proof or knowledge and is based on false religious drivel.

The difference between Communism and social democracy is flying by most here reading the posts.

Just for reminders
Communism is a political ideology that is based on a common ownership, mainly concerned with equality and fairness. In communism, the power is vested in a group of people who decide the course of action. It is this group of people who decide on the activities of the public. These groups of people may interfere in the public life of others. On the other hand, democracy, which also stands for equality in the society, is governed by a group of elected people. Democracy is a rule by the people and the elected representatives are bound to fulfil the wishes of the society.

We live in a democracy here where the PEOPLE and elected representatives are bound to fulfill our wishes from the people.

A big difference seen between democracy and communism is in the term of economic systems. In communism, the government has complete control over the production and distribution of goods and all the resources and it is shared in the society equally. But in democracy, this aspect is not there.

We have a pure capitalist society which we actually invented.
Your country just did a copy cat there.

In communism, it is the community or the society that holds the major resources and production. This helps in preventing any single person or a group of people from raising to a higher position than others or becoming rich. But in democracy, free enterprising is allowed, which means that people or groups can have their own businesses. This can lead to rich and poor in society.

Coming to democracy, there are no specific principles that define it. But democracy is based on the principle of equality and freedom. It is also based on the principle that all citizens have equal rights. Another principle that defines democracy is that the citizens have certain liberties and freedoms, which are protected by the constitution.

In communism private ownership is not allowed whereas in democracy it is allowed.

Lots of private property here free enterprises and ownership here, most people own their house or business and our constitution gives us our liberties and equal rights.

The Dutch United Provinces declared their independence from Spain in 1579; during the 17th century, they became a leading seafaring and commercial power, with settlements and colonies around the world. After a 20-year French occupation, a Kingdom of the Netherlands was formed in 1815. In 1830 Belgium seceded and formed a separate kingdom. The Netherlands remained neutral in World War I, but suffered invasion and occupation by Germany in World War II. A modern, industrialized nation, the Netherlands is also a large exporter of agricultural products. The country was a founding member of NATO and the EEC (now the EU) and participated in the introduction of the euro in 1999. In October 2010, the former Netherlands Antilles was dissolved and the three smallest islands - Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba - became special municipalities in the Netherlands administrative structure. The larger islands of Sint Maarten and Curacao joined the Netherlands and Aruba as constituent countries forming the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Supreme Court or Hoge Raad (justices are nominated for life by the monarch)

The Netherlands is situated on the North Sea across from Great Britain. The Netherlands emerged from Catholic Spain's control in the 16th century to become a continental power. Considered the first true capitalist country, the Netherlands also became a model welfare state after World War II. With just 16.5 million people, the Netherlands has among the world's most dynamic economies, which in 2006 ranked 13th for gross national income, or GNI ($42,670), and ranked ninth ($37,580) by PPP (purchasing power parity, which takes into account inflation and other factors).

Like much of Western and Northern Europe, the Netherlands after the war had dynamic free-market growth and development of a broad social welfare policy. It granted independence to former colonies and rejected its former practice of neutrality, first by organizing the Benelux Union (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg) in 1948. It then helped found the European Coal and Steel Community in 1952, which was the forerunner of the European Economic Community and today's European Union. The Netherlands was also an original member of NATO, formed in April 1949. Internationally, the Netherlands has also sought to stand out as a country with strong concerns for human rights and humanitarian issues, providing a fixed part of its gross domestic product (GDP) for foreign assistance (about 0.8 percent; approximately $5.4 billion in 2005) and offering sanctuary for refugees, especially those from former colonies.

The Constitution of the Netherlands establishes a parliamentary democracy with full protections for individual freedoms and minority rights. The bicameral parliament consists of a 75-member First Chamber (Eerste Kamer) and a 150-member Second Chamber (Tweede Kamer). The Second Chamber is directly elected at least every four years by proportional representation according to party lists. Members to the First Chamber are indirectly elected for four-year terms by the provincial parliaments.

Postwar Netherlands elections and governments have thus represented different political majorities and minorities at different points in time. Government policy has alternated broadly between the Right (pro–free market and trade, pro-NATO, restrictive immigration policy, socially conservative) and the Left (pro–social welfare and union, socially liberal, more pro-immigrant). But because all governments have required coalitions, the majority was found in the mixture of these ideas together with platforms with minority views. There are no ethnically based parties, but there are 15 ethnic minority members as members of party lists and factions.

Blows a big hole in the meme of ebil socialism isn't it?
Try to get informed before you start running crap.

Why i know you watch Fox? simple, you parrot all their debunked talking points.

Homeskooling much?
Facts are a bitch, get used to it.

Socialism wasn't designed into the United States if America's constitution. That's why the liberals/progressives/socialists try to redefine our constitution. They have blatant disregard for it and the American people. They consider themselves as The Elite in that they deem themselves qualified to lord it over us. Where is the liberty and freedom to choose how you live your life and be allowed to fail? Set up right with the right principles and moral gravity our nation is just fine without the haters of our nation trying to muck it up!
