Does anyone have any suggestions how a single male ham operator can meet single YL's on the air? I realize that men far outnumber women in this hobby.

Are there any singles nets anywhere, either on 2-meters or HF?

No sure about any nets or anything, but there probably is. There seems to be a net for just about everything else.

Speaking from experience... If the lady sounds "hot n' sexy" on the radio, I can assure you, she's likely not.

Just call...CQ CQ CQ...looking for single women contacts only.

If the objective is to meet a lady who likes radio, I would think clubs or hamfests might be a better venue than actually trolling the airwaves.

If the objective is more prurient well, there's always CB and an interstate.

;-)

For a second there, I thought it was April 1st again.

Finding a nice young lady on the air seems like an exercise of frustration. I think most women who are involved with Ham Radio are probably doing this hobby for a favor to their husbands.

Well, I do know a couple of younger Ham females who like Ham Radio for Ham Radio - but they are too young for most guys on these forums.

So, I guess the next best thing to do would be to attend club meetings and Ham Fests. You have to go where the people are...

If I'm gonna try to find true love on the radio, she better have SSTV or ATV capabilities.

It would be nice to have some young fillies helping me with my antennas, I can steady the tower as they climb...

Where are these YL's located? How old are they? I'm one of the younger hams myself.
