New radio thoughts

Looked at copper. Also considered Bells cb shop what do you think? I had copper do a 959 for me once and then ended up taking it elsewhere due to lack of receive performance. I also looked at the rci 2950dx but the looks on that radio seem to remain the same over the years except for display color which means nothing to me. I'm really thinking the optima is going to be the one but I need a shop to do the work if any is needed to it.

I have the 257 HP. Outside of the QC issues it had, I like mine. And FWIW mine's not tuned or aligned, and I still get my numbers called on SSB.

I didn't see this in the list but the RCI 2950....dunno if it's out of your price range but consider it...one thing I liked about that radio is unlike my 257 HP, I didn't have to switch bands to get to different frequencies...it has the closest thing to a full VFO on an an export that I've ever owned.

Bells will match Coppers price, do a better alignment job, and you won't have to deal or speak with Suzzane. I've never owned an Optima, but I've found the 2950 to be very stable, reliable and user friendly.
