From Texas to Barcelona...

Thanks! He's got a heck of a station, that's for sure. I talked to him for about 5 minutes or so while travelling through Fort Worth, TX. He said he had me 5/9 the whole time. Conditions were phenomenal, I listened to him make contacts for almost an hour.

He's hooked!! Now it's antennas, radio and QSL cards. Great contact, next time for giggles turn down to 3-5 watts if he's 59 signal and no large pileup screaming to contact him.....ya might be surprised what low power will do. I made a Indonesia with 5 watts mobile last week....conditions are great, hope they stay!

Speaking of 10 meters, I remember last year around November was the first time I every really did much "DXing". I had a Kenwood TS-2000 and 10 meters was wide open one Saturday morning. I made tons of contacts mostly in the country and some in Canada. I think I made a couple of Puerto Rico too. It's a lot of fun.

Well, I have always been into radio since I was a kid. Heavily into SSB skip on 11 meters, I already have all the equipment I need to play on the bands. Just need to get General now so I can legally go other places when 10 is dead.
