Not bad at all. Couple questions. Is it mounted in the [slash]trunk[/slash] sorry..the boot? :D

Also what is it that appears attached to the very back of the rig and the other small box with cables attached to it? The text on it is too out of focus to read. Antenna controller perhaps?

That would be a BetterRF screwdriver antenna controller. It is used in conjunction with the BetterRF Tune control which you can see plugged into the back of the 7000. Great system. :DTouch the tune control on the rig and the controller runs the antenna up or down to an acceptable SWR. Only available for use on the IC7000 and unfortunately no longer in production.:censored:

Correct and yes it is mounted in the trunk under the parcel shelf support. Beauty of the MK4 Mondeo is that just under the tail light on that side is a fusebox with a 100A 12v feed so no problem getting power.

There's a company who have started making the Turbotuner 2 which will work with Icom,Yaesu, Kenwood but its $300, a lot more than that unit I have was.

I'm not happy where the head unit is so I'm looking at using a Brodit Proclip mount currently holding my mobile phone holder to mount it up near the top of the dash. It'll screw straight onto that plastic bit. I've had a TS480 on that before so I know its sturdy enough.
