38 LSB. Were's all the Retro Noise Toys at??

Ok we got "the phone off the hook". We got the recorded audio of "The orange face RCI straight coax to a antron 99". We got the Jetson's key up from the famous "Blue Waffle" in Texas. Last but not least old "41" Ivan in Canada. What happened??? Did everyone get rid of there old school "Mr. Jiggs" noise toys from back in the day, LMAO. Take them out and blow off the dust and put them on the air. Now that's 38 LSB fun.

There is a recording that is played daily on 38 LSB. It is hilarious as its a real recording of someone telling there operating conditions per say there radio equipment. Just the serious nature of this guy describing he is running his orange faced RCI into a cobra XL650 power amplifier with 50ft of straight coax running into his antron 99 10ft above his trailer home. It's funnier than hell.
 
those recordings are old. I remember that one from the 90's.
must be remastered to digital.

I hear a preacher once and awhile too

Noise toys don't sound or work the same in SSB mode. In fact, since not everybody is on freq they usually sound like $#!+. Noise toys are for AM because they sound like they should. Of course, those of us who have been using SSB for years already went through all of that and know this already.

It's all annoying. Recordings, Uncle Fester, the dipsticks from Phoenix, the Day after Day guy, Blue Awful, noise toys, soapbox rants about "why I should run a roger beep", etc. No wonder I find myself on 10 meters more and more. But wait, I listen to it on 28.425, too! :blink::laugh:

Just abandon 38 lsb
the way i look at is that 38 lsb is a big mess people talking all at once no one gets through and always has been in my memory just a big roar.

I would think anyone wanting to talk would just take in a little further up the band its nice and clear up there once you get past 27.405

The serious dxing gets done between 27.415 and 27.705. I do not hear any foolishness up there.

no Obama radios
no phones off the hook
just clear frequency

Noise toys are for people who realize that after spending all that money on a big radio they have absolutely nothing worthwhile to say. However they feel a need to justify the expense, hence the addition of noise toys.

Never, and I mean NEVER will I understand the mentality of people who would go through all the trouble of setting up a station only to use it to annoy others.

It's just the fun of it all. I don't take anything CB seriously. It's cheap entertainment but it makes me laugh when I hear people trying to make 38LSB so serious.
