Back in the mid 90's, the last time I was fairly active on the band,I used to go on about the sasquatches getting into my garbage cans and flower beds again, that was always good for a laugh. There was usually a lot of beer involved in those key downs. Of course many wobbly pops later I'd end up terrorizing the truckers on channel 1 AM as my alter ego, the " Crazy Fox",armed with my 800 watt FL2100z linear. Ahh, the good old daze.

LOL, Funny as Hell man. I have to admit I use to get my kicks out of doing stuff like that also. Sometimes its good just to unwind with some Jack Daniels in the safety of your own home and raise a little hell on the CB. Better than the bar room antics sometimes,lol

Now that was a post!!!!!! I can feel your pain on the drag strip. Got a lot of the same thing here in Florida. Race Tracks, Lakes, you name it. It's been there for years. You raced on it or fished on the lake that used to have great fishing. Bam, up goes a housing development and the race track is gone and the lake becomes private access only. Damn Yankee's, LOL

I get a kick out of guys that rant about 27.385, try the channel selector.
38 is always a high traffic freq, but you are not forced to stay there.
Often if you go to any of the other channels around 38 you can find guys rag chewing or hunting dx.
Another thing to try is call cq on 38 and say you are going to listen on 39 for contacts.
Here on the west coast we often find activity on 35 from the south pacific to work without all the hash and trash.

38 is pretty much the ch 6 of ssb... I also like to call and move up or down. Sometimes .380 or .390 is good.
