Hello again everyone, I was interested to.know if 26mhz is active still. I have found that 27.555mhz is getting too crowded for me and theres a paticular lunatic constantly in my receive. So does anyone still use 26.285mhz? I would just have a listen for myself, but I would have to swap out a crystal.

No Ham ticket, not having my personal info just blantantly posted on the internet. Location, full name ect. Everything a lunatic needs to find where you live and harrass you. No thankyou.

By no means am I a prepper. I just like my privacy... is there anything wrong with a little privacy? Im not crazy.:bored:

One experience I read was the ham was casually talking to other operators on 40 meters I think it was, but anyway he talks to one guy and a few days later the man drives 60 miles to his place and just walks right past the "no trespassing" signs gawking at his antennas and his wife is freaking out because this lunatic is in there yard.

Get the picture?

this isnt meant to be a flame war, if you have somthing on topic and positive to contribute then please by all means do so.

Yep that happened I am sure and I am also sure it happens way more on CB than ham. Anyway good luck on your privacy, just accessing this site you have provided an IP address that I can easily track and over a short period of time I could trace it right back to your home or phone or whatever. Just saying privacy is gone.

When it happens on 11 meters its because the operator just spews personal details over the air, like there phone number, address ect...
Ip addresses are relative and not always fixed points. An ip adress isnt going to tell you a personal name ect. It might get you to a paticular town. Plus the person would have to know what there doing, its not just a point an click interface that a monkey could use.

Lets try to keep this on topic.

No need. Just stock up on ammo and identify the weak neighbors who do hoard. Now back to the conversation about operating illegally on Government radio spectrum :D

Wow. I can't believe people think this way. You drive a car? Have plates on it? A little know how goes a long way in allowing someone to show ip at your door. Better not cut someone off in traffic accidentally. They may be a lunatic and show up at your door. As for having someone show up the door for having ham antennas, I had three different people show up at my house wanting to ask about my shed/shop I built. Two story hip roof barn style with perfect proportions. Guess I shouldn't have built it. People stopped by to inquire about it and they were strangers. Lot's of reasons for strangers or lunatics to show up unexpectedly but ham radio is no worse than anything else.
