Driver's real voice recorded

Ladies and Gents:

Finally driver's real voice has been recorded and this recording will be shared with other repeater owners in town and also will be forwarded to FCC and proper authorities so we may nail this S.O.B.

Being a repeater owner is not easy and takes a lot of effort to keep a happy medium so all we ask in return from our user base is to help out as much as you can and not be the problem. If anyone of you know this voice please help us identify this individual so we may extend the same treatment back to him so maybe he can sing to "BIG BUBBA" while he is behind bars and sucking on "BIG BUBBA" junk.

Has a pattern been noted as to the times and locations where he transmits from?

Knowing when and where he's most active would be a big help as to where to set up a starting point to track him down.

Daryl, are you planning on dipoles for the fixed site arrays? I read that dipole elements are much more efficient and better for fixed locations.

:pop:

 so the driver is butt head.. this must be where he went after MTV ..

Yeah, to me at least, it doesn't sound like this is his real voice. I caught that "Butthead" impression at the very beginning.

If anyone does copy his real voice, please notify KK6HDU@gmail.com and I will pull the audio clip.

The first one worked fine for me.

I hate to say it, but it kind of sounds like Tim ('BME') ... although I can't imagine why he would do something like this

Hope I'm wrong ...

Is "the Driver" also the general jammer?
18:16, 13June14: playing rando Spanish songs.

Trolls are trolls no matter what form of media they use. The driver, the way I take it, is also jumping out with these random songs as well as singing along with the ad-lib'd XXX lyrics. Heck, he's probably feeding off us right now knowing he has this much actual attention.

Cock-bird is one thing, but "The driver" is not the same guy doing the things in the recording. I feel you have at least 3 guys here. To find them does indeed need time and dates to figure them out. As a listener, that recording (which I've heard on this end) is a person no doubt someone another SCRAP'r knows, and I'm afraid of that hunch IRK.

Cock-bird is a one trick pony, Driver is another, and that recording is yet another...that's the 3 I'm feeling. My 2-cents. I'm a new operator, but no stranger to trolls.

I'm all ears / DF Beams

I too have had enough of this BS. First things first. When an incident occurs and I'm in the shack (quite often), trust me I already have a bearing & signal strength on the offender. Most of our usuall suspects are mobile and hand-held. I know, I see the signals poping up & down and easilly track them with the beams. My problem is, they're down the the hill and I'm up here. If someone is out in the field, rather than discussing this on 449.5, ask me to go to the back channel 146.520 so we can coordinate our efforts.

Unless they are in an area off limits to the public, these jerks can be caught without to much work. Back in the day, I used to track friends for fun and T-hunt weekends for prize-money. I did quite well on both. Here's the catch. My most successful hunts were always with a 2-man crew, a driver and myself working as a navigator / receiver operator. I'm game if you guys are really serious, lets take-down Mig first. He's so stupid, he's predictable. He also stays on long enough to make locating him easier than most. Some of the jammers are smart enough to play a few tricks, switching remotes, power-levels and stay on the move. Not old Migtard. I have watched is locality stay on the same bearing moving around on what I know is a handheld, or his bearing would change.

Let's slam-dunk this jerk. His radio gear will be confiscated, destroying it could get someone in trouble. Actually had a cop show up at my front door about 20 years ago with grand-theft charges pending. Showed the detective the confiscated equipment, told him the story and legal paper-work. Then I told the cop, if this individual wanted his equipment back, I'd see him in court. Guess what? The cop walked away smiling, saying what I did wasn't really legal, but he did not blame me and walked away. We had our day court and no charges by the cops were ever filed. PS-another reason for having 2-people on the hunt, one to restrain him, while the other carefully removes all of the equipment hopefully from his car and not a house. Not going to trespass if at all possible. 73 - Gregg

Do not even attempt to confiscate his equipment, Gregg - knowing his history, he just might file theft charges and possibly assault and/or battery - it just isn't worth the risk.

What we need is his residence address ... then we can have numerous user base members file complaints with the FCC local field office. If they receive enough complaints, they WILL act.

Case in point, there was a recent NAL handed down to an Extra Class Amateur for $12k for jamming on an 11M frequency (March 2014).

Hit him where it will hurt him, in the pocketbook. If he continues his shenanigans after paying the fine? ... we do it again, another large fine ... all the way up to a nice stay at Sean Penn if need be.

CERTIFIED MAIL - RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED

October 5, 2012

Re: EB-FIELDNER-12-00004699

Amateur Radio License KF7MYK

Warning Notice

Dear Mr. Deane:

The trustee of WA7DG has requested, by letter dated April 4, 2012, that
you refrain from use of his repeater. The written request was issued as a
result of your failure to follow operational rules set forth by the
licensee/control operators of the repeater system for their users. You
have recently been heard again on the WA7DG repeater necessitating the
request of the repeater owner for Commission intervention.

The Commission requires that repeaters be under the supervision of a
control operator and not only expects, but requires, that such control
operators be responsible for the proper operation of the repeater system.
Control operators may take whatever steps they deem appropriate to ensure
compliance with the repeater rules, including limiting the repeater use to
certain users, converting the repeater to a closed repeater or taking it
off the air entirely.

Please be advised that the Commission expects you to abide by the request
of the control operator that you stay off of WA7DG - and any other similar
requests to cease operations on any other repeaters by any other repeater
licensees, control operators or trustees.

Use of WA7DG again after receipt of this letter could subject you to
severe penalties, including license revocation, monetary forfeiture (fine)
or a modification

proceeding to restrict the frequencies upon which you may operate.

Sincerely,

Laura L. Smith, Esq.

Special Counsel

Enforcement Bureau

Cc: San Francisco Field Office

Western Regional Director

Fines normally range from $7,500 to $10,000.

Same place.

Quoted from an eHam article James posted:

... "And now my brother wants to be a HAM, so I got him all setup learning for the Tech exam. I figure since I am going to be his role model, I better know even more than I do now. And since I am paying for his test, and taking him to it, why not go for the Extra Class?" ...
