Who in the club has a D-Star radio?

I just signed up and have that capability. The next question is what are the frequencies along with any necessary tones to access the repeaters for this group?

I live in Claremont and Sunset Ridge as well as a number of other spots are accessible to me.

Here's a link to the gateway dashboard with all of the repeater info: ircDDB QRGs and Maps. The repeater defaults to connecting to reflector XRFWDX after 20 minutes of inactivity, but is open for users to connect to any reflector.

Used 880 ever where under $400. No special antenna needed.
 
All of the W9WDX equipment is online and working great. There are a couple of us in CA that use it and we would really like to see the usage expand to the members of the site.

The cost of an Icom ID-31 is really pretty affordable (for ham radio gear). If you don't have a local D-Star repeater, you can build your own access point for your existing VHF/UHF radio for aobut $100 or buy a DVAP dongle turnkey solution for about $200.

I've got an ID-880H and IC-2200H. The closest D*Star repeaters to me are about 20 - 25 miles. WF4X in Freeprot, FL. there's a mode B and C. The B node has limited coverage for some reason but I can get into the C node. The C pretty much stays connected to reflector 37C. I am just getting started with D*Star although I've had the rigs for more than a year and half. Not many stations around here. I was just looking into a dvap and setting up a hot spot. Any pointers or comments would be welcome.
I think I can also get into the KF4OEC machine in Crestview, FL. Both the Ops get fussy when someone links or unlinks their systems. That's why I'm considering setting up a hot spot.

You can build your own if you have a spare VHF/UHF radio or buy one. If you like, start a new thread about it, and we can walk you through your options, plus pros/cons on each approach.
