Can he talk on the radio? Can he recieve on the radio? thats enough proof also do you see his needle is almost smacked? Also known as solar powered reapter jammer?

I'm not saying this is causing his problem but i have heard these are common when radio interference is caused.

Or smoke a Fat one with them an forget about it ,after a while the sound might get enjoyable if its good stuff ! Just saying !

op:I am not sure what radio you are using a base or a mobile as a base? If you are using a mobile radio it is common for some power supplies to cause this kind of noise.
