While not a station, it is a start.

looks like a pretty good setup to me.

do yourself a favor and give that piece of carpet the "lou franklin" treatment.
IE: mix some downy half and half with water and give the carpet a spray.

do it every few months.

this will keep the carpet from building up any static charge.

one thing i dont see (maybe its that box to the left of your soldering station)
is an antenna switch.

if you dont have one yet, get a good quality switch (not one meant for Cb use LOL) and connect it through your wattmeter so you can switch between your antenna and a dummy load.

you will find the ability to "A/B" switch between them to be extremely useful and convenient.
at least i do.

good stuff.

Nice set up. Which model scope is that you have?

I'm guessing that it is a Tektronix 2225.
Nice!

One more tool you might want to consider is ComTekk's SINAD v1.20. Using a SINAD ('SIgnal to Noise And Distortion ratio') meter to adjust receiver alignments can make a considerable difference. Or, using a real SINAD meter will accomplish the same thing. Less noise/distortion; same signal strength. I think the ComTekk SINAD software is better than a meter, as it has many more usable features than a real meter does - IMO. Not too hard to figure out and use as well . . .

Thanks for the flowers, the scope is a tek 2205-40, the price was right.
I forgot to include my WWDX rf sampler that I made.
I'll get to work on the carpet, thanks.

And a Bird. Dosy meters are ok, but birds will give you true RF watts. Bird 43P is the way to go.
A bird 43p and the elements are way to expensive for the average guy who wants to build or mod for him/her self. Just my opinion but a Dosy is just fine.

The dosy was a freebee, it was not working when I got it. Not very accurate but the swr meter is right on and I have been using it just to for testing if there is PEP.
The Radio Research to the right of it is really close, but behind the dosy is my Ken, K4EAA paint can dummy load which is just as accurate as the 2 Birds that I compared it to and a lot cheaper for what I use it for.

Thanks, I'm cheap, never can find anything when I'm looking for it, so now I at least know where it's suppose to be.
