Just wondering. I heard his son carried on the tradition? Theres seems to be several of these amps in my area. a 1x4 base, a 2x8 base and a 16 pill all plug in the wall amps. Personally I have a 2x8 in the mobeel. Just wondering who makes them now and if anyone has any contact info on the builder. PM me

Yeah I could see some rare cases where a person already has a 16 pill mobile amp and a power supply big enough to run it but buying a 16 pill base isn't cost effective at all. A tube with equal or more output will cause less problems with the neighbors too.

From what I've saw the numbers he posted are about par for a comp style 16 pill. If it were biased it would talk less drive. The transformer wraps could be changed also. Keep in mind a lot of people will drive a 16 pill with a 1x4. Most builder know someone is going to run the piss out of their product and build accordingly. 10:1 is what I see out of the 16 in my mobile (fatboy with the necessary repairs to run correctly) with a reasonable amount of drive. Of course the gain becomes less and less the harder you drive it and at that point you're pissing in the wind.

I hear you. That might be a good deal for someone but a really bad idea for anyone with neighbors. Not because of the brand but any pill amp that size.
