I Hate This New Site!!!

I am going to throw my 2 cents in.. Even though it may not mean much here,
The new site is VERY SLOW on my XP machine but on the win7 Machine is ok. I am finding it difficult to navigate around the site...

Last night I wanted to PM someone and could not find where to do such a thing..
One would not think to "start a conversation" with someone, That would tend to believe that everyone could see the conversation that was intended for one person
PM would be better words to use.

On the plus side I have to say that it is easier to Quote and up pics to the site..

Yes change is good for some things and not others LOOK at what "CHANGE" did for this country when the new Pres came into office ! Hopefully the admins can get the bugs worked out

well, a few years ago, I was a very active member of a MAJOR fishing forum that a lot of SPORTSMEN in FLORIDA (hint) used.

the powers that be made a major change to the format that was not popular and some poster said the same thing.

after about 3 months their active users dropped about 80%.
I havn't been back to that site in years either

same issues here, my clock is runing

I have to keep logging on this site only I but love the ability to change colors.
I'll have to check the settings on my iPhone.

My iPhone keeps me logged in.

Still getting used to the site both via my laptop and phone/tablet. With the complaints about the site, I think it's funny that the first thing you see on the front page is "Terrible" in big bold letters. My only complaint is that I can't change the format to a lighter color. I tend to prefer light blues or light greens for my background colors... maybe just a personality thing, I don't know. Certainly not enough of a gripe for me to stop coming here. And honestly, you really can't please everyone every time.

Arighty CK,I logged in on a different electronic device and there's a check box right next the 'keep me logged in' symbol . It's checked and now I can resume doing the little things that I know you ... I'll have check my iphone to see if It does better ;]

P.S. The reason I didn't see the keep me logged in on my iPhone is I hold my phone vertically but the website is optimized for a horizontal phone position.

I had not been on in a while (as my personal life and work have gotten pretty busy for me), and so the new site surprised me a bit, thought i had been hijacked and sent to another site.! LOL

Read this thread and in a few minutes i am getting used to it. So all please don't give up hope, post your questions and someone will always try to help you here. That's been my experience.

I do like the more efficient layout on the dxForums page!

For what it's worth, I am having no trouble at all.

The full page mode feature by default mentioned is great. I use an android phone and replaced the default browser with the dolphin browser so I could use full page desktop mode viewing for all websites. Three thumbs up.

The site is quicker loading for me, and friendlier photo uploading without having to resort to a third party online photo page. The colors are different than before, yet are workable. I would venture a guess that most of us frequent more forums than this one and those forums are a different color than this one used to be . . .

Realistically, we need to be able to read, write, and share photos. This occurs with magnificent ease. I don't get all the disgruntlement.

Years ago when my parents were alive Daddy became overly upset because Mama had failed to iron the crease in his pants exactly as he thought it should be despite the fact that she had been doing this for him for a long time. Daddy dressed up in his starched and pressed shirt, the elegant coat required for his job, his highly polished shoes and bow tie and a pair of red and white striped pajama bottoms. He made Mama ride to the department store with him where they purchased another pair of pants for her to press. Perhaps Daddy thought there was some lesson for Mama to learn in all of that. She did learn something - her man could sure make a real fool of himself far disproportionate to the matter at hand. Mama continued to press Daddy's slacks exactly as she had always done for many more years.

Is there some reason we cant have Tapatalk also? I guess I'm a minority but its such a pain to check in on the phone then browser then have to turn the phone. I can check the recent posts on Tapatalk before I get here using phone chrome.

When I try to quote a post here I get kicked off before I can reply to the quote. It posts the quote before I can reply.
