Ch 6 user is bleeding over EVERYWHERE

Yep; 766 was at it again today for an hour or two,
Bleedover was so bad here in N California that it rendered AM/SSB unusable on all CB channels.
Let's see if the FCC deals with this guy . . .

Hey Rob, I'm here in the Fresno Area and I don't have a single problem with him, The only one I have a problem with bleed over is SwitchBlade, about ten up and ten down, maybe a narrower IF filter would help

Actually, I hear bleedover on a daily basis.

Well, most illegal CBers with their "inbred bleedover generators" do this. I'd say 99% of those idiots making "inbred long distance calls" bleed over at least one channel.

Since CB criminals usually use Class C amplifiers, made for FM and sold as "linears" really are not linear at all. Class C amplifiers can be made cheaper. Since CB amplifiers are illegal, there are no quality control standards. It will get worse as these RM Italy and other overseas cheap brands come into the hands of people who do not know what they are using.

Couple these already dirty amplifiers to the typical CBer who has no technical knowledge who sets his radio to "all pots to the right" and you then couple the dirty splatterbox radio to a dirty splatterbox amplifier, you now get a bad mess.

Every CBer who operates illegally has no one else to blame but themselves. If an illegal CBer complains about bleedover.... tough... they do it to.

By posting this, I do NOT say the OP is an illegal CBer..... I'm just adding fuel to assist his cause :)

BTW: I imagine my comments will be shredded by illegal CBers. I do not care. I do not recognize illegal CBers as having any proper knowledge of radio, thus invalidating any comments. Your Mileage May Vary, Batteries sold separately

You pretty much covered it all with your statement. I couldn't agree more.

I will admit I once was a typical high power illegal operator on the "chicken band" then I grew up and got my ticket. Now I come full circle back to a 40 channel un-modified CB that I usually just use for monitoring when I'm driving.

Now I run nicer and better made equipment and can communicate with respectful radio operators nationally and worldwide (with very few exceptions of course) and don't have to deal with the rudeness of 11 meter operators which includes the SSB modes as well. Many of times I have been in a QSO with a good DX station on the Sideband mode and someone can wait till we are done or ask for a break, they just key in with no consideration. Why even bother anymore?

Big radios, big power and big modulation means nothing to me anymore. It's now about how clean and clear you can sound on the other end.

The amateur community is open to all who would like to be a more respectful operator and get away from the childish nature of 11 meters who have nothing better to do but jam up the frequencies which keeps you from enjoying your hobby anyway.

A Ticket isn't hard to get if you really want it, just something to consider.

Probably has a huge loop antenna suspended over some of that Louisiana salt water marsh.

Running a 1X3X8X24 fat box with a .5 watt dead key swinging to 40 watts.

He just got down

10 elements on a 90' boom. My guess it's 15 or 20. Not uncommon when your a member of the handle club.
Funny how many guys I meet have no problems putting together a box, north of 7kdc plate. And have no idea how to run it correct.

I don't hear anyone that bleeds more than 2 or 3 channels at the most unless they are passing through town & running a Big Nasty Illegal Amplifier??? Maybe it's your radio that has no adjacent channel rejection if you hear them that far up or down the band as much as it is their crappy over driven radio & amplifier??? For sure nobody on a base radio on the other side of the country is bleeding more than 2 or 3 channels here.

Dude was blowing me out today, from ch 6 and I was on 19. Think the dude is in socal. Sounds a little like Clarence carter, hell it was waiting on him to break into "patches".

HaHa, that 766 dude sounds like garbage    Only a matter of time before the square wave induced harmonics take out that transmitter. He never got the memo.

MMM takes him out every single time on the east coast and yet doesn't splatter and does it in HiFi to boot

Lets hear the gate. Tripple M ain't running in the same league power wise as 766. A square wave is hard to compete with running full bandwidth, 20-12k in my case.
I would guess it's more of a mother nature thing.
Gates don't lie?

You seldom hear this happening; but if you have been listenting to the 11m band or even the 10m band, there is a dude who has bleeding over - like I haven't heard in years. One can hear hin on 38 LSB as well as one can hear him on ch 6 AM.

This 'person' doesn't realize he is wasting his potential 'maul' power on ch 6 by spreading it over such a huge spectrum.

Won't be long before the FCC chops him down.
That is, if they have any credibility whatsoever.

Enjoy the moment, moron . . .
Someone local should know whom he is. Those guys ruin it for everyone.

As much as I hate the way motormouth maul's crummy audio sounds, he bleeds 0 channels.

Yeah I don't care for his audio settings but his station is right. He will bleed a couple channels up and down but that is because his audio bandwidth is so wide. His signal has a bigger footprint but it isn't splatter and trash. Transmitting a 10khz tone on 28 will look like a deadkey on 29 and 27. A 20k tone on 28 will do the same on 30 and 26. Adjacent channel interference is all the same to some people though.
