The guy's name is Chris I believe. These are the U.S. made ones and from what I have heard they are nice antennas.[/QUOTE
Looks like it costs more then the real deal from a1 antennas , interesting.
otIt's a Mantenna LOL!! If I don't go beam from my current setup, it will be the next one I purchase. Expensive or not. You get what you pay for with this antenna. It takes some work to build them like he does and also pre sets and tests the antenna before shipping as well. I suppose it is all about what you want to do and how you want to go about it. JMHO.
I already own a interceptor and have had it for over 8 years. It has been through two huricanes and a blizzard along with big seagulls sitting on the ground radials. If you want to get a "Shockwave " antenna for about $10...One is going to be raffled off at the "Channel 28 Good-time Gang" Break in Manchester TN. at the end of June... Break is June 25-27 at the Quality INN in Manchester TN....Raffle will be on Saturday the 27th, and you don't have to be present too win...But you do need to go to the break to buy your raffle tickets.
Yeah I hear ya...I have one of Mr.Coily's 6.4 ground planes, but took it down when I put up my Quad...I need to get a pole I guess and stick the thing back up in the air one of these days, but the Quad has dual polarity so I just haven't had any real reason to stick it back up yet.I already own a interceptor and have had it for over 8 years. It has been through two huricanes and a blizzard along with big seagulls sitting on the ground radials.
I just dont see ever needing another omni. If for some reason I did , I would just call jay or steve and order another one.
The only way I could see myself needing another, is if someone stole it.
But thanks for the offer
IIRC: isn't this the very same 'Shockwave' - that is a forum member?!?
Me thinks so . . .
Yes they are DB. Chris is the guy that makes the shockwave antennas here in the states. The other Shockwave antennas were built in Austrailia.
