Maco 103C flatside

Stacking will give a 3db gain or one S unit increase, but there are downsides.

Ahhh, I see W9cll already provided that information while I was typing..

The antenna is out for delivery as we speak.. Cannot wait to get home tonight and do an unboxing.

What is shown in the pics here are not stacking but phasing, like dual antenna's on a truck. Stacking would be mounting them horizontally but same results.

Yes, phased array would be correct. I believe you would need to use the same set up as in twin phased mobile antennas using 75 ohm coax feeding each antenna from the splice or "T" in between; branching from the 50 ohm coax feeder line coming up the tower.

Good News: Antenna has Arrived.
Just got a message that its been delivered to my doorstep.

Bad News: Next four days the forecast will be 100% rain..
Assembly will have to wait.

By then we will have a new President, a new perspective, a new need to communicate.

If anyone is with-in 100 miles of the Fort Walton Beach Florida area, let me know which way to point my beam and I'll do a shout out to ya.

Still undecided about going flatside or vertical (unless I change my mind it looks like it may very well be flat for the first three months)

Sideband "427"
Call Sign "Top Gun"

Funny; you didn't say what rotor you have.
I bought one that I figured was sufficient and it only cost 130.00.. Well, I have been reading about it. Bad Choice, but I did not keep the receipt, so I will have to use it. RCA looks good on the box, but not a good unit apparently. and it is $10.00 cheaper on-line.

It will not be long before it will be "next time", but next time will be a much better unit.
