He screwed up a Galaxy 95t I bought from him, but he was capable of halfway decent work if he tried. I still wouldn't let him touch anything else though.

I bought 1 of those so called wacked packed radios used . I had it 1 day and used it for 10 minutes and the damn finals blowed . I sent Mr . RA an email stating what it did and told me it wasn't under warranty because it was used . So I contacted the BBB about his business practices and he stated it was sold as is and I'm the 1 to pay for repair . Then I contacted the FCC for him selling high amp amplifiers and rigging bogus 10 meter rigs to use on the cb bands . Far as I remember the FCC cited him with big fines . Far as my radio which was a galaxy 88 was junk and it was tossed . He Acts like he's god but far as hacking radios and making them sound loud and can be heard world wide that's bs. It takes a power , good feed line and a great performance antenna to be heard .

If it's any consolation, I think his old lady left him when the money ran out and he's no longer hacking up radios for a living and I think he's living out of a storage unit Somewhere in Arizona.

I googled his business and it still alive also he's opened a computer shop in MT . Back several years ago he barely opened a cb shop just outside of Salem,Or but someone had that shop shut down and again he ran back to AZ . He doesn't like being cornered and throws his attorney at anyone that gets in his way . Last I read he's an admin over on CB radio talk .

He will make a fine moderator on CBRT keeping the 2-4 people who use the forum daily in line. LOL

Hard to believe this thread is still alive after 8 years! Its been some time since I had to un-whack a radio, so I guess its probably been some time since he's whacked one. I CAN say that whackpack 2 wasn't really "different" than 1.

Which of those 5 hammers is recommended? And, do they come in gold, to match my screwdriver?

Tools to do the job.

1: 30 watt soldering iron
2: HD lineman pliers
3: Makita 18V with various small driver bits for tuning.
4: 4-6" of small gauge wire.
5: 2.5 lb dead blow hammer...just to use on stubborn radios.
