DON'T SOUND LIKE UNCLE DONALD

He does show sinead tests and alignment procedures. Antennas being not the most perfect link in any transmission chain what he does show while using a dummy load is sufficient. Remember, Mike says that in his alignments he set the radios at the readings set for by the manufacturer as he will have the block diagram and alignment instructions in print form there with him. And you can see him actually doing work.

fine tune crook
Are you referring to the Hacked up radio that was sent in being misrepresented as a new radio which is currently in a box waiting for the customer to pay for return shipping?
Most often it's the customers that are Crooks trying to steal a technicians time by lying to him and telling him they are sending him a mint condition radio and then when it shows up it's been hacked to pieces and the customer thinks that once it's there the technician will be obligated to do the repairs which isn't the case. Then when the technician tells the customer it's not worth his time all of a sudden the customer doesn't return phone calls and makes videos on YouTube saying how his radio was stolen when in actuality he just doesn't want to pay for round trip shipping for a radio he knows isn't going to work. It's always best to be honest about the condition of equipment instead of trying to be a con artist and trying to get repairs done for free.

no there are many other cases i have heard of. .. why do you think he is on the black list. pimp him all you want he is a crook

In my personal experience all the guys that had problems with him have integrity problems as well as allowing their opinions to interfere with their ability to follow instructions, so everything they say I take with a grain of salt.

I'd really enjoy seeing Mike doing an over-the-air line level recording to show us his interpretation of High Fidelity audio as it sounds over the airwaves at close range.
He doesn't seem too interested in exposing how his radios sound after he's done with them. He apparently wants us to make the false assumption that his tuning abilities are just as phenomenal as his troubleshooting and repairing abilities.
One of Mikes customers popped up out of thin air in this recording and I wasn't really impressed with what I heard, although Mike's customer was very happy with the work and was bragging about how Mike had just gotten done tuning His Radio, although it seems strange he was so eager to sell this radio to me after bragging about how great it was.

Increasing sssssssssssibilance to a an almost annoying level and leaving plenty of nasally tones is not high fidelity. Most receivers won't hear that whistling tea pot anyway so you're safe.

I've talked to fine tune a couple of times on sideband and have heard him on AM as well. He does have a nice clean sound but I hear better stations then his quite frequently. He seems decent enough over the air buy his "you'll only bother me once" attitude will keep me from being a customer of his. I understand not wanting a tire kicker asking too many questions. But guess, what it's my money so I'll kick the tires if I want to.

Mark sounds above average on the air. The signal looks good on the panadapter but could really use some multi band compression to give it some punch. He seems to sound better than some of his customers watergates do...o_O

You won't be safe from all the IMD and splatter that sylibance causes however.
Very true to a point unless of course you're one of the few people who's figured out how to do it in moderation without creating the IMD problem.
Precisely why an over the air line level video gate at close range would be an ideal selling point for any technicians work. IMD would be very noticeable at close range if it existed to begin with. I'm not quite sure why all the reputable technicians are so afraid to show us what their work sounds like at close range.
