This post is in no way meant to discourage or suggest that and 11 operator who's decided to get a ticket if he or she chooses, not do so. I'm not suggesting you stay on CB radio because there are obviously tremendous advantages when one has earned the right to operate on amateur radio bands.
It's just to point out that weather operating on CB radio or amateur (radio) one has to remember that these forms of communication are simply a microcosm of the the human species, and the way they interact with each other on a daily basis.
Just as in the real world one will run into nice people as well as idiots, and the total asshole at the far end of the human Spectrum.
Granted 14.313 is known for these types of conversations (qso's.)
One has to remember When referring to CB radio one must take into account The Limited FCC allocated 40 channels (27.965-27.405.)
Now times that by what I believe is 8 (most likely more) for the FCC allocated amateur radio bands, and frequencies associated with those band's..
Of course one is going to hear more operators acting a fool on CB radio. It's only 40 channels (excluding the often illegally used "freebandz".)
I'm fairly positive if one were to listen to every frequency on every amateur radio band it would be found that there are just as many idiotic, morononic, disrespectful, foul mouthed troublemakers operating on ham radio in a single day then there are on 11 meters (CB radio,) that statement is based on the amount of bands and frequencies when comparing amateur radio to 11 meters.
I'm probably going to catch some Flack for stating what I believe to be fact. If you are a ticket holder and are insulted by my statement then I apologize.
I'm only stating my beliefs. And I like your self have every right to do so.
So I will answer my own question. Is amateur radio a Utopia of fun-loving radio operators? No. Just like CB radio there's those who for whatever reason try, and sometimes succeed at disrupting and causing havoc on whatever band or frequency they decide to choose to do so.
I also find it very interesting that the FCC has decided to either ignore this type of behavior or have just Fallen by the wayside when it comes to enforcing rules. An example of societal breakdown. 2018 is obviously no longer 1955. Society on a whole has changed, and I believe the FCC has most likely changed with it. Enjoy the video. (If you watch it.) 73's and God bless.

I removed the video above. We don't need to hear that bullshit again....and again.....and again. That is simply an extreme case of what you talk about and no different than if I presented the incoherant mental midget ramblings of CB ch.6 as what CB radio really is. This has been beaten to death on this forum before many times and does not need to be done yet again. Before you say it is your RIGHT to post it or comment in any way you see fit just remember that this is a PRIVATE forum and can and does set it's own rules and free speech does NOT apply. You have your right to complain and I have my right to do whatever I see is in the best interest of the rules and of the forum itself. In keeping with those rules I will be watching this thread as it could very easily fall under the no-go policy of yet another CBer's versus amateur radio operators and just like all other threads that slide down the slope it will not end well.
You are correct about both sides having assholes but that applies to ALL walks of life and ALL hobbies just as it does some forums. There are good and bad EVERYWHERE.

If you invested your time to get your ham ticket thinking you were magically going to be transported to a utopian paradise, then my friend I feel sorry for you.
Knowledge does not make the uncouth socially acceptable, nor does money make one classy. I would suggest you thicken your hide a bit and continue to promote the hobby.
I was having a conversation with the oldest Amateur Operator in America when the bar floor licking crew broke into the frequency and started accusing of the old gent of being gay and getting a new boy friend. It saddened me that what to me was going to be a rare and honorable event was trashed and sullied to such a hedonistic level.
I apologize if my post bothers you, but the truth needs to be told.
A large percentage of the population are bullies and do not behave in a fashion that decent folks would put up with. If they do not like something "Tear it Down!" is the thought that comes to their mind.

Well truth is well known but we do NOT need the 14.313 and 14.275 crowds on the forum to prove it. That was what was in the deleted video so you figure out what the content was.
At the end of the day these clowns no more represent the 99% of good operators than the foul mouth truck driver represents the majority of us that use 11 meters. And in the words of Forrest Gump....."That's all I have to say about that"

AGREED!!!

I must be behind in all the "fun".

I thought that the LIDS on 313 and 275 had all moved to channel 72

Ham/CB the 9original "trolls" Do you get bent out of shape with on Facebook posts too?
Your asumpassum is that I'm trolling is totally incorrect. I'd venture to say just about every site member who's answered or read any of my postings knows that to be fact. 73's

Removing the clip doesn't bother nor surprise me. What does is that you'd think I go on a rant about my rights to free speech. You've removed a few of my early post and I don't recall making an issue about it then. Although I may have, not understanding how the fourm works. I've been a member for almost 4 years now, and understand the rights of moderators to remove partial or posts in totality. I understand the fact that you and other moderators have that right. And accept it. It's your world (site) I tremendously enjoy being part of it. I'm not upset in the least bit. If I were I'd admit to probably needing a new life. Or seriously considering changing the one I currently live. 73's
