Working Skip Is Now Legal On 11 Meters

Maybe it doesn't bother you which is good. I know a few hams here were ragging on it on the local repeater saying it'll only encourage CBers to run more power and bleed 10 meters. I think its great as it was a silly rule that made no sense to be gin with,. Put CBers in a band that is susceptible to DX conditions and telling them "No you cant talk to that guy in Ca!" makes zero sense.

In Miami just about everyone speaks Spanish. How's a CBer to know that the guy on the other end is in Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico or some other Spanish speaking country? It all sounds local around here.

Puerto Rico gets a pass because it is by the "ELA" agreement a part (commonwealth) of the U.S. We pick them up quite often.

I am in Delaware and sometimes I get Puerto Rico up here. Barbados too. For some reason they can't hear me. LOL

... edit... it'll only encourage CBers to run more power and bleed 10 meters.....

Well, I had a "local" CBer that operated like that close to me.

He wouldn't listen to reasonable requests to stop interfering .
You know, the standard "No one is gonna tell me what to do"... Yadda, Yadda, Yadda....

He got a knock on the door one day, and now sees the light.

You can think what you want, but,... the FCC WILL respond to properly supported complaints about unlicensed operators in the Amateur bands.
