Imax GP Kit

If you add a GPK to the Imax antenna and you notice a difference, then you had a problem to begin with, and that problem was likely a CMC issue. As far as the potential in the antenna with and without the GPK, their is essentially no difference.

In my experience that's going to be almost a given, CMC on the feedline. And I find it much more common than not.
I believe that's where the radial kit shines, in mitigating CMC caused feedline radiation which will almost always help clean up a distorted pattern and (usually also) RFI in the shack.
Performance wise, I doubt the phase corrected, extended 1/2 wave Imax is otherwise concerned with a counterpoise in terms of increased performance where there exists no feedline radiation CMC caused pattern distortion, as echoes The DB's post above.
But to say the GPK has no benefit, in my opinion, is usually .wrong, due to the majority of Imaxs (again, in MY experience) providing usually detrimental CMC-caused pattern distorting feedline propagation.
