Odd that both ads mention the possibility of not shipping to Canada??
Wasn't HamandHiFi the seller that you dealt with when the amp was confiscated?

Have you looked at the Ameritron AL-82? For what the clean SB220 amplifiers are selling for on ebay you can buy a used one. Much better cooling system and HV power supply. Ebay prices are ridiculous.

Just be sure it is shipped in 3 pieces. The HV transformer and tubes need to be shipped separately. Lots of bubble wrap around the tube chimneys also.

eBay takes care of the buyer and seller in such cases. However, it then has a third party relist those undeliverable items on eBay - and they have no qualms about using the original seller's photographs, title, description and pricing.

In the case of one-of a kind collectibles, disappointed global buyers are likely to have their search saved as they continue to look for items to add to their collection. What must they think when they see the SAME EXACT ITEM for sale on eBay a week or two later?

Well the GSP f***ed itself this time.
They damaged an expensive amplifier this time and had to refund me the total purchase price. As per the terms of service I get to keep the item also.

I think this company is a front and a money laundering target.

Say you build fiberglass antennas and 70% of your stock is cracked.
You could hire sellers to sell your cracked junk using the GSP and when it gets to the buyer and if he noticed its cracked, surprise! GSP saves the day and refunds the buyer and lets the seller keep his money too.
See how that works?

So if you have defective items that are not easy to detect you too can rid yourself of it and get the full value in your pocket.
