Thinking about getting one of these receivers so I can listen to shortwave radio and ham bands. It would be for casual use. Anyone have any experience with one of these radios? From what I can find the radio seems to fit what i am looking for.

Tecsun PL660 is an Excellent little receiver I have 4 will never give them up. Get fantastic results with just the internal antenna and even better results with a handmade wire antenna 40’ long out of speaker alligator clipped to the PL660’s antenna. You will be more the happy with the performance

Thanks radioreddz, after watching YouTubes videos and reviews of different receivers, the 660 looks to be what I want.

Reason i went with pl 880 the salesman at universal radio told me he played with a 660 and a 880. Said 660 is nice n 880 is great. I just took his word that was 3 years ago n its better than the grundig yachtboy pe it replaced.hard to say that as i always was a grundig fan. But now a brundig is not what it was 10 years ago
