Power Supply Needed for Texas Star Amps??

Email them. They will get right back with you on recommended supply. Don't buy the copy cats out there, not built as well.

You can couple them together with cable.

I checked out the power-max's on Amazon, great prices. Prices range from $98.00 for a 35a to $150.00 for a 100a. I might go with the 55a, that way it would handle ether the dx-350HD or the dx-500v Thanks for the info 828(y)
You might as well get the 100a PowerMax. You will get some head room, and you got room to grow soon.
I run a Power Max 100a to power my ts500.

Had one fail and go back for repair, Running a TS dx 400 with 1.5 watt dead key. They them self said I needed a bigger power supply. Did a very quick repair and return time though. They do have great service. I decide one was to noisy and would never like 2 fans going. Still deciding what supply is next for me.

I have a 50amp megawatt and have been thinking I will make a box or something to isolate it. And put it on the bottom shelf of my bench so that fan noise isn't loud. Just haven't came up with a design I like.

I had mine under my desk with my other supply. Still could not take the noise. It might just be my sensitive hearing

I have had just a little experience with acoustics and sound. I have used self adhesive acoustic foam and thought of building a sort of box and lining it with that. I haven't had much problem with rf just the fan noise.

How much RF does that throw off??

Does it have a fixed 13.8 power or is it a 3 stage charger?
The 100A I have is a 4 stage.

The description says "Fixed output mode voltage can be set between 13.0 Vdc to 16.5 Vdc", but I haven't seen how to set it as that. Right now mine sits at 13.2V, and once in a while it jumps higher, but I have yet to see it over 13.6v. I didn't get a manual with it, it was a discounted display model, but there are no external switches.

Edit:
I just talked to Graham at PowerMaxx. I have the external fan model, which he said they quit production of about 18 months ago, and the new model has an internal fan and 2 switches accessible from the outside and you can turn off the stages and have it constant output with the one switch and the 2nd is a pot to adjust the output voltage.

Figures, I get screwed on eBay.. "Brand new Scratch and Dent!!!" nothing said of it being the old model....
