Still waiting for the ULS and call sign license whatever

I saw (and screenshot) the site/server was down for whatever reason, then there were supposed to be updates or something last weekend.

I took the Technician the last weekend in April. The week of the site crap. It is my understanding that once submitted there it's no delay and a call sign is issued right away. If there were no upload or data input there would be no output.

Anyway, I took the General first weekend in May and on the check box for upgrade or new license I asked which box to check since there was no license issue, but was upgrading the VECs seemed uncertain but said it would all be okay.

So today I check again, notta, zilch, nothin.

I think my shit got f@cked up or something. Maybe I just want it NOW. I filed a help request wih the FCC and they say they will contact me within 3 business days. I don't get it, but, it's how things seem to go.

Depends a lot on when the VEC filed the paperwork. Did they SNAIL Mail?
Did they file Electronically?
Most generally 7-10 days for EACH application. So likely you will get your TECH first...
Then several days later see the General UPDATE.
Yea it's hard to wait...With the Server issues could be longer!
However when I got my Ticket in 1979...I WAITED 14 WEEKS+ for my license!!!
In those OLDEN DAYS you had to wait on the HARDCOPY license to arrive at your residence BEFORE you could operated!:eek::ROFLMAO:

Your location? House? Your lot size etc...Tower? Big Trees? etc.:D

There could be a backlog of new license's after the Gov't shut down. Rarely do they approve overtime to catch up on the back log.

Yea the Budget cuts have I'm sure, impacted the time table also Tallman.
The staff that processes the applications is most likely reduced.
One must remember Amatuer Radio is a LOW( if not LOWEST) priority on the FCC duties.
My resent license renewal (filed electronically) took almost 7 weeks to process.
Looking around here (the forum) upgrades and new licenses, average time has been 2-3 weeks+ before applications have been processed and POSTED.
So expecting anything less if the VEC's filed electronically, I think is more the norm these days.
If paperwork was mailed via postal service add a couple more weeks!
A resent purchase via money order sent USPO First class took 13 days to go from IND to NY...Geez WTF!...So if you don't use priority your at their mercy!
