Ever wonder what a $1600.00 Processor looks like?

My Grandson who is 20 years old he repairs phones and builds Game systems he is building a gaming machine for somebody in Chicago and it's going to be one of those 6000.00 dollar machines it will have a terabyte of memory the Board was nearly 300 it's what they call an RGB board because it lights up and the fans light up and it has a liquid cooling system for the I9 Extreme unlocked 16 Core. Amazing how far we have come.

If it is an i9 9900k; then the suggested price is about ~$500
An ASUS or Gigabyte mobo with quad channel architecture would be BEST, and 64gb of GSkills RAM would also be used - IIRC. An Asus RTX-2080 Ti viddy card would also be cool. A terabyte of M.2 NvME is a bit much - tho; half of that will have the same effect. Adding a 4tb HDD would also be best. A Noctua air cooled system is better than the AIO dual water cooler system, just as effective. I took the AIO out of the 8700k system I built because I just cannot afford to get a leak and destroy all of that uppity hardware.

I wonder who sold you 500$ chip for 1600$... It was genius
Mike
Oh, my sad man, I did not give even $500 for it if you are then you are being ripped! Just saying. Now, on the other hand, they are bringing 1600+ on eBay and other outlets. Just saying I gave only $422 for it. Now what I can get for it is a whole other subject!

Yes you are correct on the suggested price and like I said in the other post I didn't give anywhere near $500 but What I can get for it is much different. people are giving upwards of 1600 for them don't know why but I hear to help them get what they want.
SD Drive is a Tbyte the memory is 32Gb the motherboard is a ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING. We used the ROG STRIX OC 11Gb VID BOARD. Plus some other things I can't remember at this moment. We have up and running my Grandson is putting all the finishing touches on it as I type this.

The truth is I don't care about any of this gaming stuff as I never play games on my computer once in a while I will fire up the old old old X box and play such intimidating games like space invader with my wife but that is rare. Now when it comes to the things one can do concerning bench work I'm all in but it does not require anything like this monster my Grandson is building for gamers. He makes good money doing it and he is very good at making them work right it is literally amazing how much he knows about these things.

Very clean install, looks nice, real nice. I’m a Mac guy myself though and got out of the PC thing long time ago. I was into overclocking and water cooling.

Water cooling FTW!!

You take that radiator for your water cooling system and drop it in a huge cooler with the evaporator from a window unit and you get some sub-chilly temps. Back in the day you could push an E8400 well into 4ghz like that, ah...the old days. Now they have faster stuff and it just got to be too much BS. Experimented with peltiers but water cooling was much better.

These days it’s a Mac Pro for me.
